It Started With A Father And Son
Track Tiles began in the simplest way imaginable…
Playing with toy cars on the living room floor with my son, Jenson.
Like so many young children, Jenson absolutely loved cars. We would spend hours building imaginary race circuits, creating stories and racing lap after lap together. Those moments quickly became some of my favourite memories as a dad.
But every time we played, I found myself wishing there was a better way.
The tracks we owned offered very little freedom, the layouts were always limited, and there wasn’t anything that truly captured the excitement and creativity of real motorsport. We wanted to build our own circuits—not just assemble someone else’s.
One evening, after another afternoon of racing together, an idea came into my head.
What if there was a modular race track made from magnetic tiles that let you design your own circuits over and over again?
That simple idea, inspired entirely by Jenson, became the beginning of Track Tiles.
Turning An Idea Into Reality
What started as a sketch on paper quickly became an obsession.
I spent countless evenings researching, designing, learning and refining every aspect of the concept. There were hundreds of sketches, prototypes, conversations with manufacturers and more redesigns than I can remember.
Every challenge taught me something new, and every improvement brought the idea one step closer to becoming the product I’d imagined while playing with Jenson.
Track Tiles has never been about taking shortcuts.
It’s been about creating something that families would genuinely love for years to come.
More Than Just A Toy
Although Track Tiles is a modular magnetic race track building toy, I’ve always believed it could become much more than that.
It’s a way for children to create instead of simply following instructions.
To experiment.
To solve problems.
To build something that’s completely their own.
Every layout encourages creativity, imagination and hands-on learning, while introducing children to the excitement and strategy behind real racing circuits.
There are no limits.
No single correct way to build.
Only endless possibilities.
Creating More Moments That Matter
The greatest thing Track Tiles has given me isn’t a business.
It’s perspective.
Those hours spent building tracks with Jenson reminded me just how valuable simple moments together really are.
In a world where screens are everywhere, I wanted to create something that encourages families to slow down, sit on the floor together and simply enjoy creating something side by side.
Because some of the best childhood memories aren’t expensive holidays or big days out.
Sometimes they’re just built one tile at a time.

Motorsport has always been a huge inspiration behind Track Tiles.

We aren’t creating one race track.
